Who we are.

Ben was born and raised in the Yampa Valley. From an early age, Ben was floating rivers, skiing powder, and hiking along mountain creeks. He holds degrees in civil engineering and political science from the University of Colorado Boulder, worked as an engineer for the City of Steamboat Springs, and recently founded the startup engineering firm, Zenobia Consultants. Currently, Ben serves on the Board of Friends of the Yampa, Steering Committee and Technical Committee of the Yampa River Fund, an endowment fund created to fund resiliency of the Yampa River.  He has served on the Technical Committee of the Upper Yampa Watershed Group, which was formed to collaborate on regional efforts focused on evaluation and enhancement of watershed health.

Public service runs strong in Ben’s bloodline. For the last two decades, he has chosen to improve his community by ensuring streets, water lines and other critical infrastructure that are built in the Yampa Valley are aesthetic, safe, and functional.
